A History of Homer.

Founded in 2020 as KoalaData, Homer has already supported over 40,000 people in buying their dream property. But we at Homer know that everyone deserves a place to call home, and there was more work to do!

Currently in the exciting stages of a transformation journey from a humble Chrome extension to a full suite of tools that work together to deliver on our mission statement: to empower hopeful homebuyers and their advocates through data-democratisation.

Like many prospective homebuyers, we have faced ongoing challenges when it comes to sourcing accurate information from agents and sifting through the vast array of data scattered across the web for property analysis.

We have been frustrated by the lack of transparency. In being misled, provided false information, having pertinent details withheld or receiving incorrect data.

Regrettably, these experiences often lead to making imperfect decisions.

Given the substantial financial commitment involved in homeownership, it’s truly imperative that home-buyers are able to access the relevant information when doing due diligence on a property. However, the real estate industry often benefits from this obscurity, and has systems in place that can result in buyers being in the dark, compelling them to base these important decisions on emotion rather than concrete information.

Our team, equipped with a passion for change and a wealth of experience in the property sector, has embarked on a mission to improve outcomes for buyers by enhancing transparency within the industry.

Everyone deserves a place to call home. Our overarching vision is to empower buyers by redistributing some of the industry's tightly held control into their hands. We will achieve this by providing comprehensive and transparent information to facilitate more informed decision-making for all.
